Common Issues & Solutions

GPS Updating Takes Too Long

Cause: GPS signals require clear sky visibility. Buildings, trees, and weather can slow positioning.

Solutions:

  • Move to an open outdoor area away from tall buildings or dense tree cover
  • Wait 1-2 minutes after turning on for initial GPS lock
  • Ensure the tracker has sufficient battery (low battery affects GPS performance)
  • Check that both devices show green lights flashing (indicates GPS is searching/found)
Direction Indicator is Inaccurate

Cause: The geomagnetic sensor needs calibration, or there's magnetic interference nearby.

Solutions:

  • Calibrate by waving the controller in an infinity (∞) pattern 3-5 times
  • Move away from metal objects, electronics, or magnetic sources
  • Keep the controller level when checking direction
  • Re-calibrate each time you turn on the controller
Tracker Shows 'Last Position' / Lost Connection

Cause: The tracker is out of range or something is blocking the radio signal.

Solutions:

  • Move toward the last known position shown on the controller
  • The maximum range is approximately 3.5 miles in open terrain—hills, buildings, and dense forest reduce this
  • Ensure both devices are powered on and have sufficient battery
  • Try moving to higher ground for better signal reception
Battery Drains Quickly

Cause: Frequent GPS updates, extreme temperatures, or aging battery.

Solutions:

  • Turn off devices when not in use
  • Store in moderate temperatures (avoid extreme heat or cold)
  • Charge fully before each use—partial charges can affect battery life
  • If battery life has significantly degraded, contact support about replacement options
Devices Won't Bind / Pairing Failed

Cause: Devices may already be bound, or the binding process wasn't completed correctly.

Solutions:

  • Ensure both devices are fully charged and turned on
  • Reset both devices by turning off, waiting 10 seconds, then turning back on
  • Place devices within 1 meter of each other during binding
  • Follow the binding process exactly as shown in the setup guide
  • If previously bound, you may need to unbind first—contact support for assistance
Tracker Falls Off Collar

Cause: Strap not properly secured or collar too loose.

Solutions:

  • Thread the strap through both slots on the tracker housing
  • Pull tight and secure the velcro or buckle firmly
  • Check that the collar itself fits snugly—you should be able to fit 2 fingers between collar and neck
  • Inspect regularly for wear and replace strap if damaged
  • Consider the silicone protective case for additional security
Avoid issues before they happen

Prevention Tips

Keep Devices Charged

Charge both tracker and controller overnight before outdoor adventures. Low battery is the most common cause of tracking issues.

Use in Open Areas

GPS works best outdoors in open spaces. Avoid starting in dense forests, urban canyons, or indoors where satellite signals are blocked.

Calibrate Regularly

Wave the controller in an infinity (∞) shape each time you turn it on to calibrate the geomagnetic sensor for accurate direction tracking.

Check Attachment

Before each use, verify the tracker is securely attached to the collar with the strap properly threaded and tightened.
